Working with senior stakeholders to ensure that costs are kept within budget and efficiencies found where possible. Managing cost is a critical part of the profitability of any business and the role sits within a team responsible for the reporting on the implementation of our overhead cost management strategy.

Tthe role involves the collation of actuals, forecast and budget data. This is with the purpose of driving financial performance and delivering insightful reporting to management through the consolidation of this data in the UK Urban Property business and Group quarterly management accounts.

The role is a great opportunity to build skills within an interesting and fast-paced team, working with interesting information and helping to maintain our cost management. The role will suit a candidate who wants to develop their cost management expertise. Occasionally queries will arise from senior individuals across comany and accordingly the successful candidate will need to be a strong and confident communicator, capable of building trust through their professionalism and credibility.

The role includes having access to highly sensitive and confidential information and therefore the Assistant Accountant must have the highest levels of discretion, treating the data with the care it requires.
