The post holder has responsibility for the provision of a professional, comprehensive and efficient administrative service, which is effectively delivered to all patients and members of the Department.
This will be through the delivery of a comprehensive administrative service to a specialty team.
This will involve providing a full administration service to the consultant team and taking responsibility for managing the whole patient pathway in line with the Trust Elective Access policy.
The post holder will need to have a strong administrative skill that underpins the patient journey and supports clinical teams in delivering high quality patient care and can make a real difference to the patient experience.
The post involves providing full secretarial and administrative support to Consultants, their teams and patients including typing of correspondence, dealing with telephone enquiries, managing outpatient clinics and diagnostic waiting times and taking responsibility for managing the whole patient pathway in line with the Elective Access policy.
Good secretarial skills are required and this position requires the demonstration of strong organisational skills and the ability to adapt and work on your own initiative.
This is a rotational role which will enable the successful candidate to rotate within the different Departments within Specialist Surgery, giving them a wide range of knowledge of the division.
