Job Description
You will provide leadership, support and development to the finance department, oversee all day-to-day accounting operations, accurate monthly management accounts incl:- variance analysis, trends, risks and opportunities. Challenge the business on deviations to plan, ensure all internal and external reporting meets deadlines, lead projects related to implementing improved procedures and strengthen controls whilst driving accuracy and efficiency. Manage cash flow, banking relationships and identify working capital improvements and coordinate the preparation of the budget and forecasting. Manage the audit process Support the business with insights, growth initiative and decision-making processes. Reporting across multiple companies / business units including the consolidation of financial statements within a multi-currency environment. Provide Adhoc analysis/project work as required
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Graduate, qualified ACA/ACCA, ideally with an audit background but not essential, then gained exposure in change management within a larger corporate environment. Having held a similar FC role with at least 3to5 years PQE of supervisory and management experience.
Comfortable leading from the front and taking early responsibility with strong people manager skills, able to manage a team of 14 qualified/non-qualified accountants.
Strong desire to mentor, motivate and bring the team on whilst applying best practices processes and controls to ensure an effective and efficient accounting operation is achieved. A resilient hands on controller with strong analysis and problem solving skills knowledge of digital technologies, Advanced Excel (lookups/pivot tables)
