Job Description

• Work closely with the Finance Manager to ensure quick and accurate month-end close
• Support month-end process including balance sheet and P&L reconciliations, and posting of month-end journals across multiple entities
• Support the preparation of monthly management accounts
• Participate in ad-hoc projects with Finance and wider team as we move to a new accounting system and expand our control framework across the business
• Take full ownership of key parts of month-end, identifying areas for improvement and implementing them
• Reconcile transactions and clear AP inboxes as and when required

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• 3 years+ experience working in a finance team
• Fully or part qualified accountant (must be nearing qualification)
• Previous experience working in a startup or other fast paced environment
• Experience contributing towards month-end with journals, balance sheet reconciliations and reporting
• Proven experience identifying points for improvement within a month-end/ finance team processes and acting upon them to fix the issue
• Advanced Excel
• Experience with Netsuite accounting system
• Experience with Dext and Pleo
• Experience with Xero accounting system
