Job Description

Key responsibilities:

  • General finance and accounting activities (reconciliation, financial reporting etc.),
  • Control of reporting and statutory compliance across the business, developing and implementing appropriate internal control procedures,
  • Review and monitoring of Group tax position, calculations and filings,
  • Contributing to the production of detailed accounting and financial analyses to identify opportunities to improve performance,
  • Identifying and implementing process improvement and simplification,
  • Overseeing all bank accounts and payments,
  • Tracking spending across departments,
  • Contributing to the elaboration of annual budgets and forecasts of future performance,
  • Reviewing the budget to ensure financial objectives are met and major variances are corrected,
  • Ad-hoc financial project management tasks as required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Our perfect candidate will be hard-working and have a strong sense of initiative to match our company culture. She/he/they will be comfortable interacting and building constructive relationships at senior level in a culturally diverse environment.

In addition, she/he/they will have:

  • Relevant degree education (MSc Finance/Accounting or similar)
  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
  • 5-10 years accounting and finance experience in the financial services sector, ideally in FinTech and/or in a fast-growing start-up environment,
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, working knowledge of Xero.
  • Strong financial modelling, data management and data analysis skills,
  • Experience working with senior business leaders,
  • Excellent communication skills,
  • The willingness to follow up on the implemented procedures and strategies, and to report results to the team.
  • A positive attitude, attention to detail, and strong team playing & problem solving skills are also vital in this role.
