Job Description
- Take ownership of the Fixed Asset Register and check additions, disposals, depreciation, and reconciliation ready for review and sign off.
- Review property leases to ensure accurate accounting postings are made under IFRS 16 and FRS102 (UK GAAP).
- Work with the Retail Accounts Assistant to ensure a clean bank reconciliation.
- Other general ledger postings.
- Month-end prepayments and accruals postings (re-classes and adjustments).
- Work closely with the commercial finance team to ensure accurate postings and a thorough understanding of the accounts.
- Balance sheet reconciliations.
- Using SAP BPC, monthly and quarterly group reporting (consolidation software).
- Complete inter-company recharges reviewed with the AR team (arrival and despatches).
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- ACA or ACCA Partly, Newly, or Fully Qualified (or equivalent).
- Experience in a retail, multi-channel, or luxury goods firm (or one that is similar) is strongly requested.
- FRS (particularly IFRS 16) and FRS understanding are greatly preferred.
- Experience using SAP is required.
- Excel proficiency is also an advantage (lookups, data manipulation).
