The post plays a vital role in providing support to the Senior Business Partner by managing month end, quarterly and year-end processes for their areas of responsibility. The post will actively contribute to improving the quality and depth of financial management information available.
Main responsibilities include preparation of annual budget, monthly management accounts, quarterly forecasts; assisting in the preparation of business cases for potential investments; taking responsibility for the preparation of year-end schedules, administering, and resolving year-end audit questions.
To succeed in this role, you will have at least two years’ previous experience of working within management accounting. Good knowledge of accounting standards and accountancy (exposure to the receivable, payable and general ledgers). Knowledge and experience of Higher Education would be an advantage. Demonstrable experience of using enterprise level financial software and manipulating data to produce insightful information and reports.
Strong organizational and administrative skills along with demonstrable ability to priorities conflicting deadlines and work pro-actively with a high level of initiative as a key part of a self-managing team. You will be able to manage and develop your direct report.
