You will provide a comprehensive administration service and ensuring our patients and their relatives experience a coordinated and streamlined patient journey.
This is a busy role and we are therefore looking for individuals with excellent communication skills, the ability to work well under pressure and the desire and enthusiasm to assist us in providing a first class service.
The working pattern for this post will be Monday to Sunday (pattern to be confirmed) . You will be provided with a comprehensive induction, participate in discussing your development needs through your annual appraisal and will agree a personal development plan. You will also be given the opportunity to attend training courses to expand your existing skills.
Sorting and distribution of mail, casenotes, x-rays as appropriate.
Admissions and discharges for both AMU/AMRU · General Clerical duties e.g. sorting, filing, photocopying etc.
Dealing promptly with routine enquiries from staff and patients both on the telephone and in person and communicating appropriately thereafter.
Reception duties meeting patients and visitors to the department/unit.
Some diary management for personnel or area.
Planning and scheduling of meetings.
Maintaining departmental stationary stock.
Assisting with the introduction of new staff to the office procedures and the use of office equipment.
Maintaining a bring-forward file if required.
