Job Description

To meet and greet patients at reception. To make patient appointments, register patients on the required computer systems and carry out other administrative tasks as necessary.
To deal with all patient queries and concerns at the reception area. To answer telephone queries and concerns. To register new patients and make new patient appointments using logging procedures on Meditech and Choose and Book as required, sending out relevant patient letters. To make follow up appointments as required, sending out relevant patient letter. To issue patient information leaflets as required. To take payment from private patients for consultation, screening and drug top ups, via cash, cheque or debit/credit card, and record all payments. To maintain filing systems as required.
To communicate effectively with members of the multi-disciplinary team working within the unit. To assist with general administrative duties e.g. dealing with mail, photocopying. Reception Admin staff work on a Rota that includes every other Saturday.
