Job Description
  • Outbound lead generation and conversion
    • Contacting potential partners from across multiple industry groups, across the UK
    • The company already has prospective client lists but the candidate should also build up their own to add to what the company already has
    • Candidate must be prepared to make a high volume of "cold" sales calls initially
    • Where necessary, candidate will discuss partnerships internally with relevant teams (product, technology) and draft proposal for partnership
    • Discuss with prospective partner, close partnership agreements
    • Work with legal dept to get contracts drafted and signed
    • Track all work according to agreed methodology (currently using excel but likely to move to Salesforce at some point)
    • Candidate must be able to work with high energy autonomously
    • Be the champion of revenue growth in the business
  • Inbound lead conversion
    • Tracking of all inbound leads from all communications channels
    • Following up with all leads very promptly in writing and by calling
    • Follow process for outbound to try and close partnerships where possible
    • Upkeep of database of client details and status
  • Sales materials (e.g. decks, presentations, simple forecasts)
    • Ability to draft / amend own materials subject to guidelines from company
    • Familiarity with PowerPoint, excel and good numeracy
  • Administration
    • Own and improve existing processes in order to get their sales logged, invoices created, products/services booked and delivered on time
    • Takes accountability to ensure clients are satisfied and receive a good service

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Direct partnership sales experience including inbound and outbound lead generation and can demonstrate closing of business
  • Demonstration of managing generated leads through to conversion
  • Highly personable, able to develop positive, deep relationships quickly with partners, potential partners and co-workers
  • Driven and goal orientated
  • Performs well and enjoys target driven, fast-paced environments
  • Energetic and positive manner, problem-solving attitude
  • Has creative ideas that can benefit the business and proactively contributes
  • Sharp commercial brain, recognises opportunities quickly including upsell/cross sell
  • "Sales mentality" - wants to close business, is hungry for success
  • Capable of planning route to achieving goals without need for micro-management
  • Good numeracy and literacy, familiarity with powerpoint and excel
  • Presentable as a senior member of the organisation
  • Exposure to science subject(s) at A Level and/or University a plus but not a requirement
  • University degree with 2:1 awarded
