Job Description
The primary function of this role is to work as part of a busy Finance function in the position of Financial Accountant. The role will report to the Financial Accounting Manager.
- Prepare and post journal entries into Oracle including prepayments, accruals, deferred rents, benefits accounting and asset retirement obligation to ensure a timely and accurate month end close
- Accounting for hypotaxes
- Maintain balance sheet reconciliations
- Responsible for recording intercompany invoices and settlements
- Prepare monthly cost reports for functions and support the business with the submission of budgets during the planning cycles
- Assist with the preparation of essential parts of the UK statutory financial statements and other financial reporting
- Assist with the preparation of relevant audit working paper for the group and UK Stat audit
- Providing support to other Financial Accounting team members as required
- Performing other projects and duties as assigned by the Financial Accounting Manager and the Financial Reporting and Operations Manager.
- Ongoing compliance with minimum finance standards
- Play a key role during group, statutory, tax and internal audits
- Compliance with finance and other internal policies ensuring a robust control environment and risk management.
