Job Description

Within this role you will work closely with the members of the finance and operations team. In your role you will demonstrate excellent teamwork skills, whilst also working from your own initiative. Role responsibilities will include:

  • All invoices posted.
  • All receipts allocated including CIS deductions.
  • Chase customers for outstanding amount and reconcile debtors accounts.
  • To ensure that all invoices are coded correctly and entered to the PL and GL correctly.
  • To maintain the purchase ledger ensuring completeness and accuracy of the information within.
  • To reconcile statements from suppliers and follow up on any discrepancies that may arise.
  • To manage supplier relationships ensuring disputes are resolved.
  • To ensure that all invoices, bank statements, and other financial records are filed and archived regularly
  • Bank posted daily and reconciled at the end of every month with bank statements.
  • Full knowledge of Vat processing & returns , Paye submissions and reconciliations.
  • Ad hoc reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

The ideal candidate will have an interest in our industry, be self-motivated, dedicated and enthusiastic with experience in:

  • Sage 50 Accounts & Xero accounting knowledge essential.
  • Excel Spreadsheets to high level of understanding
  • AAT Qualified or working towards final examination.

Experience:

  • Accounting: 1 year (preferred)
  • bookkeeping: 1 year (preferred)
