In doing this, the Audit Committee plays a vital role in supporting the delivery of services to the community.
You will need to be able analyze information and provide constructive challenge. You will also need to have good communication and influencing skills. Ideally, you will have some knowledge of the following areas: corporate governance, counter-fraud, audit, financial management, risk management and how Council’s work. You will need to fill in any gaps in your knowledge, and training will be provided to help you with this.
