Job Description

This is an exciting entry-level opportunity for someone looking to progress their career in finance and credit control. Daily posting of bank receipts. Allocate payments, including following up on any missing remittances

  • Completion of daily bank reconciliations & monthly invoice discounting reconciliations
  • Reconciliation and reducing unapplied cash
  • Generating customer statements as required
  • Reconciling statements with customers
  • Providing support to credit controllers to collect customer debt by phone and email in accordance with the credit policy
  • Build and maintain good working relationships with both internal colleagues and our customers
  • Preparation of other ad-hoc reports

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Educated to GCSE / A’ Level standard
  • Credit control/sales ledger experience beneficial but not essential
  • Excellent communication skills with a confident telephone manner
  • Be able to follow current processes while also being able to assess their effectiveness and suggest changes where appropriate
  • Analytical with a high attention to detail
  • Organizational and planning skills
  • Good knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office Suite including Excel is essential
  • Adaptable to change and willing to embrace new ideas
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and to tight deadlines.
  • Good communication skills
  • Accuracy and an eye for detail.
  • Ability to priorities, task manage and good organizational skills

Experience:

  • accounting: 1 year (preferred)
  • credit control: 1 year (preferred)
