Job Description
To maximize the value of the sales of the company's products to all customers by telephone & in person. Ensuring that customers are dealt with efficiently, promptly, and courteously.
- Ensure that all customers are dealt with in a friendly, efficient, and prompt manner
- Advise the customer on which of our products to use and provide advice where necessary
- Deal with customer complaints in a professional manner and provide a prompt solution
- Ensure that there is sufficient manpower cover in Customer Service throughout business opening hours
- Enjoy dealing with people and have a proactive and positive attitude.
- Have good problem-solving skills and be willing to listen to what our customers’ needs are.
- Maximize all opportunities with customers contacting the office either by phone or email.
- Price in line with the company's pricing structures and discount policy
- Ensure customers are made aware of monthly promotions (offering goods on promotion to customers where possible)
- Take the opportunity to cross sell and up sell additional products where possible.
- Offer advice to customers to ensure they are getting the right products at an economical price for their requirements.
- Pass on any sales leads to the relevant sales representative
- Receiving calls or emails from sales representatives and the efficient and accurate processing of any orders they place.
- Preparing quotes and checking stock levels for customers and the sales team.
- Processing of picking lists in accordance with company procedures
- Operate company business software in accordance with company procedure
- Operating within the department operating procedures.
