Job Description
  • Build activity-based standard costing approach and maintain and improve this process in close collaboration with related factory operations team
  • Analysing changes in raw materials, manufacturing methods or services provided, to determine effects on cost. Prepare estimates for new product costs
  • Support and improve cost accounting and controlling processes and analyse the monthly manufacturing cost and cost variances towards planned factory performance
  • Control and analyse the monthly raw materials flow, inventory development/accounting, stock valuation and yield process
  • Control the flow of goods and communicate the outcomes of the production process to relevant stakeholders
  • Cost control reporting repairs and maintenance
  • Support of budget process / Rolling Financial Forecasts
  • Financial responsibility for business cases (new products, processes and capital expenditure)
  • Support monitoring of inventory and costing related internal controls and assess level of controls
  • Conduct physical inventories and monitors cycle count program
  • Foster continuous improvement in the finance team, challenging status quo and play a leading role in increasing effectiveness and efficiency of our wider finance team
  • Ensure financial policies and procedures are adhered to, including internal controls
  • Assist in internal/external audit
  • Support ad-hoc reporting and analysis as needed

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, preferably Accounting OR equivalent experience (ideally incl. industrial background or Industrial Engineering)
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Controlling in a production or manufacturing environment
  • Experience working with activity based costing and standard cost processes
  • Good accounting knowledge
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Fluency in English (speaking/writing)
  • Strong analytical skills, fast anticipation of data and information
  • Ability to communicate and challenge in a production environment
  • Independent worker able to deliver according to plan
  • Accurate, reliable
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Nav and PROMIS preferable
