Job Description

The Customer Service Specialist is the first point of contact for the business & is responsible primarily for ensuring the on time / in full delivery of customer sales orders and the timely resolution of customer product and service enquiries to the customer's satisfaction. With excellent development and progression opportunities the Customer Service Specialist role is particularly suited to a professional dedicated to a high-level of service, and who is looking for the next step in their career.

  • You will be responsible for accurate processing of customer orders from different origins (e.g. Phone, EDI, Web order or Email), in our ERP (Navision) accurately and efficiently, adjusting the orders as required in line with department procedures and processes
  • Ensure customer data is maintained to a high standard in line with company and team standards
  • Communicating with a large number of customers within a fast-paced department; adapting to customer type (for example breeders, retailers and direct consumers) and providing an optimum level of customer service and order efficiency
  • Dispatch orders as required to meet customers expected delivery dates - where necessary, follow-up with logistics partners on order tracking, ensuring products are delivered according to agreed SLA with customer, fulfilling service and quality standards according to policies and procedures established by the company.
  • Identify potential stock shortages and minimize impact to Customer Service through liaison with the supply team and the customer

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Demonstrable experience in a Customer Service function, ideally from within an FMCG / Supply Chain environment.
  • You could have worked as a Customer Service Representative; Order Processor; Customer Account Manager; Customer Service Advisor
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with a passion for great customer service
  • Able to work within a fast-paced call center environment
  • Good MS Office suite experience (Excel / Word/Outlook) with good analytical skills
  • A good problem-solver, with a flexible and adaptable approach to working both as a team player as well as independently within relevant guidelines
