Job Description

You will be responsible for managing the Month End Close for Group entities including the preparation of annual statutory financial statements in accordance with Irish/UK GAAP (FRS102). You will be proactive, have attention to detail, be well organized, have strong communication skills and have excellent time management skills.

• Manage the Month End Close for an entity or entities within the group;
• Preparation of monthly Journals and Balance sheet reconciliations;
• Prepare variance analysis of financial results for month end reporting;
• Lead the preparation and review of statutory financial statements within the entity;
• Liaise with local statutory and tax accountants;
• Ensure internal procedures and policies are followed;
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to support system and process improvements for the month end closing cycle.
• Support the transition of accounting activities into Dublin;
• Supporting ad-hoc accounting projects;

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Degree in Accounting or equivalent;
• Qualified chartered accountant (CA/ACA/CPA etc);
• Knowledge of SAP would be an advantage;
• Experience in preparation of financial statements;
• Shared Service experience would be a plus;
• Previous experience in a manufacturing company would be an advantage;
• Strong communication skills;
• Ability to working in a fast-paced environment and be flexible;
• Proficiency in Excel;
• Knowledge of a second European language would be an advantage (e.g. German, French)
