Job Description
- Assessing existing network servers, operating systems and security programs
- Upgrading existing hardware and software programs
- Install and implement effective security systems
- Manage data backup and retrieval processes
- Troubleshooting problems with systems and programs
- Maintaining and securing passwords, file system security and data integrity for desktop environment
- Maintaining all local software and hardware licensing to ensure conformance
- Support workflow evaluation and improvement.
- Provide problem-solving services to network users.
- Operating master consoles to monitor the performance of computer systems and networks and to co-ordinate access and use of computer networks
- Implement network traffic and optimizing server performance
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Good knowledge of IT operating systems, especially windows.
- Hands-on experience in installing IT hardware and software
- Good organizational skills
- Good time management
- Attention to details
- In-depth knowledge of the computer systems
- An IT degree will be an advantage.
