Job Description
- Adherence to procedures relating to accrual of costs, invoicing, completion of shipment files and general administration.
- Contacting suppliers (ocean, air, and road) and negotiating rates.
- Position will also include a lower volume of Road & Air Freight Forwarding.
- Issuing quotations and managing customer accounts.
- Accepting & processing Export/Import Ocean Freight bookings
- Efficient resolution of operational problems/invoice queries
- Be responsible for handling designated key accounts, controlling of collections / deliveries / POD’s
- Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and potential clients
- Invoicing, filing and general administrative duties.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Previous experience in freight
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role
- Customs Experience an advantage
- Proficient in all Microsoft Packages
- Proactive communicator in the use of email and phone
- Fluent English both written and spoken essential
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
