The role we are currently recruiting for is to work as a Waking Night Support Worker within a Neurological rehabilitation setting. Your role as a support worker is to support service users suffering from a variety of brain injuries including stroke, acquired brain injuries, hydrocephalus and other conditions. You will be working alongside nurses, an occupational therapist, a physiotherapist, an aromatherapist and a team of experienced support workers to provide the best all round care. In addition, a team of rehabilitation assistants work with service users on focused activities designed to promote independence and mitigate the impact of long-term conditions.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Hold Right to Work in the UK • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application • Provide reference details to cover previous three year employment • Previous experience working in a residential setting • Up-to-date Safeguarding Training (desirable but not essential as training provided) • Manual Handling and Dysphagia Training (desirable but not essential)
