To ensure the financial transactions of the organization are correctly recorded to provide an accurate picture of the finances of the organization which can be presented to Directors and Management.
RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:
To ensure that all financial assets of the organization are protected through a good internal control system
To ensure all HR and employment policies and practices are adhered to
Preparation of monthly financial reports including; profit & Loss and bank reconciliation
Preparation of Payroll and assisting our third party admin
Management of HR admin including; Contracts, DBS, Single Central Record, Recruitment process in partnership with relevant manager
Responsibility for Nursery invoices & funding claims
Collation of evidence required by funders; e.g.; Connect4summer, The Alliance programme
Payment of Invoices
Preparation and liaison during year end audit and ESF 125 audits.
Ensuring annual financial statements are prepared and on a timely basis.
Preparation of annual budgets and regular reforecasts
Preparation of budgets for new tenders and grants and monitoring of spend against grant
Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company, such as payroll, invoicing, and other transactions.
Oversee financial department employees, including financial assistants and accountants
Track the company's financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement.
Seek out methods for minimizing financial risk to the company.
Research and analyze financial reports and market trends.
Provide insightful information and expectations to senior managers to aid in long-term and short-term decision making.
Review financial data and prepare monthly and annual reports.
Present financial reports to board members, funders and managers in formal meetings.
Stay up to date with technological advances and accounting software to be used for financial purposes.
Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company.
Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The post holder will be qualified to at least AAT.
