Our business is growing rapidly so we have an exciting opportunity for a junior accountant to gain experience in a highly varied and interesting Assistant Accountant role.
This is an excellent role for someone currently studying towards an accounting qualification looking to gain experience in management accounting and general ledger maintenance.

Daily Duties and Main Responsibilities will include:
Assisting the EMEA Financial Controller to maintain the general ledgers and produce monthly management accounts for company’s EMEA region
Posting journals and preparing general ledger reconciliations
Responsibility for prepayments, accruals and fixed asset schedules during the month end close
Assisting the EMEA Financial Controller to prepare statutory returns (VAT returns, local tax returns, financial statements)
Liaison with local accountants and advisers in Spain, France, Hungary and Italy
Review and approval of employee expenses
Liaising with AR and AP teams as required to understand and resolve issues and errors as they arise
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Excellent attention to detail, takes ownership of tasks and completes them to a high standard. Enjoys working as part of a team, and has good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work to a deadline with strong organization skills to manage own tasks. Proficient in the use of Microsoft packages, specifically excel, experience of NetSuite would be a benefit. A desire to learn, an aptitude for process improvement and the ability to adapt to change will also be important skills in our growing business.
