Job Description

The key responsibilities are:

• Oversee and supervise daily operations of one of our surfacing squads including the safety, quality, and personnel management aspects.
• Liaison with contract supervisors / customers and other third parties as necessary.
• Lay materials to levels and specifications required.
• Completion of daily risk assessment and plant checks
• Daily inspection of quality
• Keep all machinery/ equipment and other PPE clean and safe
• Willingness to work away/ weekends occasionally

You will be responsible for the day to day management of a surfacing squad to ensure contracts are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

CSCS/ CPCS relevant qualifications. SSSTS (desirable). Must have supervisory skills handling squads of up to 7 men. Must maintain high quality workmanship. Previous experience necessary. Full UK driving license required. The successful candidate will ideally have road surfacing and supervisory experience on highway works. Applicants with construction industry experience will also be considered. CSCS card and driving license would be essential, additional Construction Industry training would be given to the right candidate.
