Full-time, Permanent - Temporarily remote
Job Description

As our business growth accelerates you will play a crucial role in the financial planning and risk management analysis of our strategic goals. You will lead on all day-to-day tasks undertaken within the finance department alongside providing sound financial advice to the senior leadership team, regularly providing financial performance reports. The successful candidate will have experience in applying rigorous financial controls across all operations of the business and demonstrate an appetite for identifying revenue stream opportunities.

Roles and Responsibilities:

· Responsible for all day-to-day financial operations within the business delivering accurate and timely financial and management accounts

· Responsible for the completion of company payroll, ensuring this is processed accurately and to the required deadlines

· Ensure purchase ledger, credit control, cash and banking procedures are adhered too

· Prepare monthly financial accounts and cash flow reports for the Managing Director

· Develop reliable budgets and forecasts for the business in line with strategic goals

· Financial modelling and risk analysis in line with the strategic objectives set by the business

· Ensure that rigorous financial controls are applied across all areas of the business through appropriate policies and procedures

· Monitor the performance of revenue streams and advise course corrections and recommendations to improve results

· Identify revenue and funding opportunities to be capitalized

· Continuously develop financial processes to ensure effective use of resources whilst ensuring ‘Quality as Standard’ ethos is met

· Statutory accounts delivered accurately and within timescales

· Liaise with external auditors

· Ensuring compliance and accuracy in all financial matters for the business

· Develop and coach the finance team through regular 1-2-1’s and ensuring all relevant training is completed to deliver within their role

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
· Professional Accountancy Qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ICAS) · 3+ years’ experience within a senior finance position · Be proficient in the use of Sage 50 accounts, Sage 50 Payroll, Elite contract costing and data information systems · Advanced knowledge of Excel · Meticulous delivery of all financial information and data · Driven individual with strong leadership skills · Exceptional analytical, problem solving and organizations skills · Excellent communicator with the ability to present complex information engagingly · Ability to identify opportunities for growth · Construction sector background is preferable.
