Preparing bank reconciliations either manually or via bank feed’s using software and coding appropriately to the correct categories
Scanning/Processing invoices from clients, correctly coding and inputting into Receipt Bank, Xero and Sage Accounts software packages
Assisting in processing VAT returns on a monthly/quarterly basis.
Preparing accounts for sole trader/partnerships and limited companies.
Preparing self-assessment and corporate tax returns for onward submission to HMRC.
Be able to deal with clients face to face or web-based meetings using software such as Zoom.
Dealing with senior members of staff correspondence, filing statutory accounts to the Registrar and making appointments.
Reporting to senior members of staff in your team
All Ad-hoc duties required by your team.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The Ideal Candidate will have: Degree in Accountancy (but not essential). Higher Grade Qualifications (A to C passes) or equivalent. Previous accounting/finance experience of two years or more essential. Computer literate skills with a good understanding of Microsoft office is essential. A positive attitude to work, good work ethic and receptive to tasks required. Looking for a career in accounting with the option to progress to ACCA/AAT qualification if desired. Ability to cope with multiple responsibilities, be organized and work within tight deadlines. Experience: accounting: 2 years (Preferred). bookkeeping: 2 years (Preferred).
