Job Description
The Primary responsibility of the Junior Project Manager will be to manage the successful delivery of company solutions to our customers. This includes, but is not restricted to the following functions:
- Manage a variety of customers and orders from the company Product Portfolio
- Ownership of orders
- Check and validate orders from the Sales Team
- Process the orders on internal systems
- Chasing Service Delivery Coordinators for supplier updates
- Coordination of all delivery tasks
- Ensure handover to customer and operations is in a timely manner
- Manage all communications on the orders/small project
- For Small Projects host a weekly internal and external customer call, with face to face customer meetings monthly.
- Monitor small projects using a tracker and send weekly status reports
- Identify and Manage Risks, Issues, Actions and Dependencies
- Cost Tracking, Budget and Forecasting. Ensuring the business and customer know when to expect charges/revenues.
- Adhere to company’s Change Control Procedure
- Report time spent on the project against what has been sold to the customer
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
At least 2 years in an implementation or a similar role within an ICT delivery environment. Ability to understand and access technical solutions as well as to interact with customers at an appropriate level. Prince II foundation required. Understanding of Project Management. A knowledge of Database and Application Management. Technically competent with various software programs, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Ability to effectively priorities and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial. ITIL qualifications highly desirable. Strong written and oral communication skills. Experience of Project Coordination/Management, with strong organizational skills. A strong team player, persuasive, influential and effective communicator. Excellent coordination skills and ability to build strong cross-departmental relationships. An ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. An ability to recognize potentially serious issues quickly and drive to resolution. Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure.
