My client is a leading provider of engineered solutions to the Construction, Civil and Utilities sectors providing standard or designed equipment solutions on Hire/Rental or Sales.
The role of Area Sales Manager is a field-based position focusing on growing new business opportunities within both an allocated customer portfolio, and identified development prospects. The aim is to maximize sales revenue and profitability of solutions through lead and appointment generation, the completion of design briefs, negotiation of quotes, order closing and ownership of the customer experience.
Key aspects of the role include:
Visiting new, prospect and existing customers, independently or in collaboration with a Field Engineer
Supporting the development of National/Key accounts
Proactive growth of your own commercial market knowledge and expertise through consultant & trade networking, industry journals, events and training

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
We are looking for a minimum of 3-5 years in a Technical Sales position ideally within construction, but this is not essential. Key qualities and skills required are: - · A track record of achieving targeted sales and growth objectives. · Great work ethic, tenacity and a will to win are essential. · A “customer is King” approach, finding winning solutions. · People focused, engaging and communicative, able to harness relationships at all levels. · A full, preferably clean, driving license. · Comfortable with both Site and Office meetings. · Accomplished in preparing and presenting commercial propositions. Experience: Construction: 5 years (Preferred). Sales: 3 years (Required). License/Certification: Uk Driving License (Required).
