Job Description
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Management and development of the Global Technical Support team (5 people) based in different locations: Nottingham (UK) and Sweden. Support the team and ensure they have the full ability to perform in the expected way and performance.
- Engage with the global technical service community and other key functions of the company worldwide to share product and application knowledge
- Be part of the TTO/P&A Product Division Leadership Team and be involved in and lead various site related subjects.
- Actively drive, lead and manage cross functional initiatives and projects related to a wide range of topics, such as the improvement and development of MI’s product range as well as process improvements and new tool implementation.
- Ensure you team is providing best in class technical, application & documentation support to the business spanning the entire Product knowledge, including hardware, software, consumables, industrial integration and application space.
- Support major field requests, and provide visibility to the field technical management on major technical subjects as well as other key stakeholders across the company
- Work collaboratively with Product Development Management Team to review, prioritize and follow up progress evolution of modifications linked to actual product improvements as well as product development
- Ensure contribution of your team to existing products evolutions and new product development, with focus on the customer experience and serviceability.
- This position may require some domestic and international travel.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Minimum 4 years of management into a technical environment. Be confident in decision making with strong judgment, ensuring right focus given to the right priority. Ability to perform into highly demanding position with many stakeholder requests. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization. Technical background which allow a good understanding of various subjects related to electromechanical, networking, electronics, industrial automation, software. Engineering Degree or similar level of on the job experience.
