Ensure the timely delivery of compliant and operable resource plans in line with franchise commitments, obligations and delivery plans
Work with Managers and Union Representatives to deliver efficient rosters and diagrams in a timely and effective manner. Providing SME support to the Heads of department and their direct reports to aid Trade Union negotiations in areas relating to establishments, rosters, resourcing and employee utilization.
Provide specialist resource assurance to key stakeholders in relation to ensuring delivery of workplace plans for up and coming business change, infrastructure change and special events, including any changes to business as usual train plans
Ensuring the executive team and relevant operational functions are fully briefed in a timely manner on workforce plans and issues with potential to impact service delivery
Lead major resource planning preparations for large development schemes, significant timetable changes and large network changes.
Work with key stakeholders to evaluate review and ensure the long-term resource plan is sufficient for the timetable and training delivery.
Lead and develop a longer-term strategic resource plan that provides the most efficient resourcing solution for our front-line teams.
Develop the strategy for ‘BAU’ implementation and review of workforce establishment calculator, aligned with timetable change and existing processes
Take the lead in identifying upcoming workforce risks and opportunities, based on a holistic view of the wider industry and EMR's existing workforce profile
