Job Description
  • Being a credit expert, you will manage and follow the collection cycle using email and telephone negotiation techniques, and work with the NHS to exchange and manipulate MS Excel reconciliations to ensure the debt position is known at all times.
  • Cash Targets/Forecasting - strive towards and exceed set cash collection targets. Support the Credit Manager to supply reflective cash forecasts, and escalate non-payment accounts externally where appropriate and internally when needed.
  • Account management - to act as point of contact for any account issues, requirements or reporting needs. Liaise with customers, key NHS regional contacts and internal Regional Business Managers to maintain customer relations.
  • Act as the point of contact for invoice disputes and queries - ensuring all required details are gathered to allow the query, billing and pricing team to perform their investigations.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
You will have a credit controller background with strong experience in a fast paced credit control environment. You will have experience with direct customer interaction and will be skilled at building relationships with excellent communication skills. You will have a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, and will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of transactions. Your energetic approach to work will allow you to be self-motivated and take ownership of your workload, and you will remain calm under pressure. Technically, you will have a high level of numeracy and analytical skills, with developed numerical reasoning. You will be confident in IT and Microsoft Office, with particular skills in Excel. A Chartered Institute of Credit Management qualification (CICM) would be an advantage.
