Job Description

On behalf of well reputed owner-managed accountancy practice, we're currently looking for an organized practice accountant

• Initially tasked with the management of a portfolio of loyal clients, in due course the successful candidate will have the opportunity to progress to client management and take on internal team leadership responsibilities.

• You should demonstrate a positive, can-do attitude, and assist in a range of tasks which may need attention when colleagues require support.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Management of a portfolio of clients -preparing statutory and management accounts.
• Personal tax / corporation tax returns.
• Management of client workflow.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Liaising with clients to resolve any issues.

Work remotely:

• Temporarily due to COVID-19

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

We are able to consider a qualified ACA or ACCA or a QBE with a strong background. Must have extensive experience as an accountant within a practice environment and have a versatile skill set. Strong understanding of VAT is desirable. Good working knowledge of Sage 50, Sage Business Cloud and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP's) Sound commercial acumen. Previous team management experience. Takes a positive, resilient approach to work and enjoys problem solving Ability to manage client and staff relationships. Experience: working for a firm of accountants: 4 years (Preferred). License: ICAEW (Preferred). ACCA (Preferred).
