Job Description

The Systems & Capital Accountant will lead on capital accounting related tasks and manage, maintain and develop the council’s financial management system. The Council is currently implementing the Unit 4 system and the post holder will manage key processes relating to this system including the production of financial reports for internal services and accounts development purposes, improving the accessibility of financial information for council service areas and the efficiency of year-end accounts production.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

The successful applicant will ideally be CCAB qualified or hold relevant experience and have a strong finance and systems background. You will need excellent IT skills and the ability to communicate at ease with a range of stakeholders.
