This role is threefold; firstly you will be required to assist in the preparation of the statutory accounts for a number of companies including the main UK trading entity Veolia ES (UK) Ltd. You will also help to prepare and support the statutory local audits of these entities. Secondly you will also be involved in the completion of the Finance Shared Service Centre (FSSC) audits. Thirdly, you will help with the completion of the Veolia ES (UK) Vector pack (for Group Reporting) on a monthly basis including supporting schedules and also the working capital analysis.
What you’ll do
Main duties will include:
Adhere to statutory accounts processes, procedures and timetables
Keep the Google statutory accounts reconciliation file up to date for all companies and ensure it matches SAP
Complete journal templates and post them into SAP
Prepare documentation for the statutory audits and provide to the auditors
Follow up on queries with other departments for the SSC and local audits
Assist in intercompany reconciliation process
Complete the Corporation Tax packs for all companies
Involvement in other projects across the SSC to improve the audit process
For actuals, budgets and forecasts, preparation of the Veolia ES (UK) Vector pack with supporting schedules such as provisions analysis for review by management
Undertake intercompany reconciliations with other Veolia legal entities
Produce working capital analysis on a periodic basis to assist Management decision making
Contribute to transition from SAP to Workday later in 2021

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Fully-Qualified – ACA, ACCA or CIMA. Experience of contributing to an external audit from start to finish. Effective communication with the external auditors. Strong interpersonal skills are required to liaise confidently with other parts of the Business. Must be able to demonstrate excellent attention to detail to produce accurate information. Advanced Excel & Google Suite skills. Must be able to work unsupervised, in an organized way, able to manage own time and priorities work to meet all deadlines. Statutory accounts audit experience desired in either Audit Practice or Industry. Knowledge of SAP preferred. Education: Bachelor's (Preferred) Experience: Statutory Accounts: 1 year (Preferred)
