Job Description
You will have exposure to a wide range of high quality work as you work as part of a team to provide administrative support to help our legal teams deliver great service to our clients.
Your key duties will be:
- Taking responsibility for file maintenance to given auditing standards, including filing and record keeping
- Carrying out overnight document storage / cheques book and archiving – system maintenance
- Opening and closing files in axxia, including ledger balances and assisting with accounting
- Attending as a witness in client meetings / client visits
- Providing telephone cover as necessary
- Completing stationery orders and requests
- Drafting routine administration correspondence
- Preparing and maintaining data and spreadsheets
- Photocopying, filing and account balancing
- Processing incoming and outgoing post
- Taking overall responsibility for office / desk space, adhering to given auditing standards
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
A minimum of 6 months’ previous office administrative experience. A minimum grade c pass at gcse (or equivalent) in english language and mathematics. Confidence with it systems to include microsoft word and excel. A good basic keyboard ability. The ability to work well in a team and develop good working relationships with colleagues and others. A demonstrable commitment to delivering excellent customer service. Good communication skills with the confidence to liaise openly and clearly with colleagues and clients. The ability to produce a high standard of work, sometimes under pressure, whilst maintaining accuracy and good attention to detail. To be able to demonstrate flexibility, initiative and confidence in your own ability. Highly enthusiastic, willing to go the extra mile and be happy to go beyond the job description. Respectful towards others and have a positive, willing and ‘can do’ attitude. Keen to learn, interested in driving your own career progression and be proactive in taking ownership of this.
