We have an exciting opportunity for a HR Administrator to join our growing HR Team, on a full time, 12 month fixed-term basis.
Based at our Head Office in Coventry and reporting into the HR Manager, your role will be to assist the HR Team in the running of the administration function, to ensure the successful delivery of the HR strategy.
Responsibilities include:
Setting up and onboarding new starters, including the creation of contracts, liaising with Training & Development and ensuring all new starter work is returned and correct
Ensuring right to work documentation is up to date and compliant with Government legislation
Reference checks and requests
Uniform orders
Updating the HR system and employee files, including data entry, and spreadsheet maintenance to track work in progress
Assisting in recruitment, such as advertising, shortlisting CV’s and following up with Hiring Manager’s
Collating and providing reports for Food and Funeral division
Assisting with Payroll and Training & Development administration
Paperwork audits
Assisting in the administration of absence and holidays
Answering calls and general queries from colleagues
Supporting the HR Team with various project work and general admin tasks
Assisting the HR Officer’s with producing paperwork for D&G cases

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The ideal candidate will have a passion for all things HR, including experience in recruitment, and be confident in using Excel, as well as having a proven track record in data management. You will be self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as part of a team. You will be able to manage your own workload and reprioritize tasks when necessary. Experience in a fast-paced retail environment would be advantageous but is not essential. Experience: Excel: 1 year (Preferred). Human Resources: 1 year (Preferred).
