Job Description
Respond to all queries and requests for assistance from patients, practice manager, Head of Nursing and other visitors.
Print the necessary paperwork to accompany the test process.
Be able to maintain an orderly waiting area with appropriate social distancing.
Follow Covid policy for temperature check and sanitisation of hands of all clients.
Assist clients with completion of screening forms prior to test and comply with GDPR and client confidentiality.
Ensure that patients without appointments but who need urgent consultation are seen in a logical and non-disruptive manner.
Ensure reception desk and chairs in waiting area are sanitised regularly between all clients.
Ensure premises are kept clean and tidy in between visits from the cleaning staff.
Watch for and report to the Practice Manager any matters affecting safety or security
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Medical experience as a phlebotomist/CNA/Medical Assistant or EMT desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
Excellent customer service skills with patient interaction.
Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
Knowledge of Infection control.
Ability to work as a team.
Ability to make decisions and use initiative.
Sensitive but friendly persona
Previous experience of covid-19 test administration desirable but not essential.
Previous experience working as a receptionist desirable but not essential
Previous customer services background desirable
Knowledge of basic Microsoft office is essential
Friendly and Understanding of customer needs
Able to prioritise workload and multi-task.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and maintain a professional demeanour.
Strong customer service skills
