Job Description
- Financial management of multiple projects, including budget preparation, monitoring, and reporting for your project portfolio
- Assisting with monthly, quarterly and yearly forecasting
- Understanding and interpreting the month’s performance with insightful commentary on variances of programmer spend
- Ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting to stakeholders
- Developing and maintain effective financial control systems and procedures, making improvements where appropriate
- Working closely with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure effective project delivery
- Supporting with project audits internally and externally
- Providing training and support to finance staff and project managers as required
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Financial Control
- Financial Reporting
- Project Accounting
- Staff Management
- Ideally a professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, ACA, CPA or equivalent
- Minimum of five years' experience in finance
- An understanding of project accounting/grant accounting is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of financial management principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
