Job Description
- Coach and manage the Finance officer
- Go through relevant financial procedures as necessary with new staff
- Set up and train new starters on the purchase order system
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for the organizations bank accounts as per the Management Accounts timetable
- Reviewing monthly bank reconciliations undertaken by the finance officer
- Maintaining the Purchase Ledger, making any changes necessary
- Reconciling monthly the balance on the creditor ledger and supplier statements
- Ensure all balance sheet accounts are reconciled monthly
- Prepare the quarterly VAT return for review by the Chief Financial Officer.
- Support the of Director of Finance with the Business Partnering approach to non finance colleagues.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Be a ACA/ACCA/CIMA part qualified or qualified accountant, or Qualified by Experience
- Have demonstrable experience of working across multiple financial disciplines within a busy finance department
- Have Experience of managing within or leading a finance team
- Have experience Calculating and submitting VAT returns
