Job Description
- Ownership of the balance sheet and cash flow reporting
- Leading on the month-end close process and preparation of board level reporting materials
- Overseeing the accounts payable process, managing the accounts payable accountant
- Ensuring the firm meets its local tax and statutory compliance and reporting obligations
- Ensuring robust financial processes are implemented and adhered to across the business
- Leading on the control and financial accounting work streams for any relevant systems implementations
- Leading on the formation / development of accounting policies and papers
- Assistance with ad-hoc financial projects
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Recently qualified ACA with up to two years’ post-qualification financial accounting experience
- Experience of the SME lending sector / alternative finance would be highly advantageous
- Strong working knowledge of SME accounting systems (e.g. Quickbooks), accounts payable processes and best practice control frameworks
- High level of data literacy, with strong Excel / Powerpoint skills
- Experience of navigating ambiguity, and self-motivated to deliver autonomously
- Commitment to ongoing learning and development
