Job Description
- Manage and lead the finance team, upskilling them and ensuring that they provide a high-quality service
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, both operational finance (monthly accounting, statutory accounts, payroll) and commercial finance
- Manage private equity transactions and fundraising, liaising with external stakeholders as necessary
- Provide commercial insight to the business, enabling strategic decision making
- Collaborate with other departments to solve problems, prioritise work, and set timelines
- Build relationships with clients, suppliers and colleagues, ensuring that everyone is clear about what's required of them
- Be resourceful, resilient, and flexible, and help clear the path for everyone to do their best work
- Have good Microsoft Office skills, particularly with regards to Excel and PowerPoint, with exposure to Salesforce being desirable
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Fully qualified accountant with at least five years of experience in a similar role
- Experience working with private equity backed, entrepreneurial and growing businesses
- Exposure to both operational and commercial finance
- Experience of managing and upskilling a finance team
- Exposure to private equity transactions and fundraising
- Experience working in the travel sector and understanding the industry
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with clients, suppliers and colleagues
- Resourceful, resilient and flexible, with excellent problem-solving skills
- Fluent in English, even if it's not your first language
- Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly with regards to Excel and PowerPoint, with exposure to Salesforce being desirable
