Financial Accountant

Job Description
- Prepare financial information and disclosures for financial statements.
- Assist in and lead the evaluation of the accounting treatment for significant transactions.
- Review contracts to identify technical accounting matters and prepare analysis and memorandums.
- Perform and manage the monthly consolidation process and provide key financial insights and corporate financial dashboard.
- Performs daily and monthly financial and accounting transactions related for Plc entity with the general ledger system.
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting, disclosures and analysis for stock-based compensation.
- Aids automation and streamlining of internal and business reporting processes.
- Proactively work on initiatives to implement operational accounting efficiencies through process improvements and control enhancements.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Bachelor's degree
- An appropriate finance qualification (ACA, CPA gained within major accounting firm)
- Post qualified experience in finance or other relevant roles (ideally within a life science environment).
- Proficient and comfortable in accounting technical research and interpretation
- Experience with financial reporting for US-listed and/or Plc companies.
- Experience working with internal and external auditors.
- Masters degree (desired but not required).
- Extremely high learning agility and curiosity.
- Combines hands on attitude with excellent use of team and cross functional resources.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- A common-sense approach.
