Job Description
Contributing to the production of financial reports in accordance with Trust procedures and timetables.
Budget statement reconciliation and analysis.
Investigating variances and making any necessary adjustments. Identifying data processing errors and making corrective changes.
Manipulating income and expenditure data for forecasting and budget setting exercises.
Validation of new spend and involvement in business cases.
Active engagement with budget holders and other Trust colleagues is paramount to being successful in this position.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing.
Ability to make use of the various sub-systems to prepare and present accurate and clear information.
Record of delivering to tight deadlines and ability to priorities workload.
Advanced analytical skills with the ability to communicate clearly the results of such analysis.
Ability to analyses and present complex and large data.
Leadership skills.
Ability to show attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to adapt to change.
The ability to understand and behave at all times, towards patients, visitors and colleagues according to the Trust values of safe, kind, excellent.
Willingness to take on and learn new skills, and to participate in project work.
A minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role
Excellent knowledge of accounting and tax principles
Strong IT skills, particularly in the use of accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and manage a portfolio of clients
A professional and proactive approach to work
