Job Description
- Check the VAT audit report for accuracy
- Be mindful of VAT treatment for goods and services outside the UK
- Create VAT reconciliation reports each quarter
- Create commentary on the reports for the client
- Work with the accountant at the year end to help produce the working papers for the accounts production
- Create bespoke reports for some clients
- Make suggestions and recommendations to clients about cost saving opportunities and best practices
- Suggest new ways of doing things based on your observations and experiences
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- ACA/ACCA/AAT
- Experience in an accountancy practice
- Show accuracy and attention to detail in their work
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Be able to manage time, work within budgets and meet deadlines
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- VAT
- Month End Close
- Year End Accounts
- High levels of written and spoken English
- Communication with clients in plain English
- Experience of building professional relationships with clients
