Job Description
- Assisting management of all weekly reporting processes, including reporting on sales, rotas, and labor costs.
- Attend weekly trading meetings to report on key sales metrics and key factors impacting sales.
- Partner with and support department heads on sales-driving actions.
- Understand and challenge weekly labor results.
- Attend the weekly labor calls to support and challenge the operations team.
- Provide support on the menu modelling.
- Analysis and review of the impact of menu changes on Group margins and sales mix.
- Supporting commercial negotiations with suppliers across all cost areas to ensure we manage our cost base in a highly inflationary environment.
- Work with the operational teams to ensure hours used in the sites are in line with the budget.
- Significant ad hoc analysis.
- Preparation of budget packs for all stakeholders both internally and externally, including board presentations.
- Assisting with the re-budgeting of sites throughout the year as appropriate.
- To provide assistance with the monthly board pack.
- Analysis work with other members of the senior management team to drive commercial decisions and board strategy.
- Other ad hoc analysis with senior management across the business.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- This role would suit a newly qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) or a finalist with a strong academic background and a willingness to learn.
- The successful candidate will be detail orientated with an analytical eye and be able to present complex data in a simplified and meaningful way.
- You will have exceptional communication skills and be able to foster cross-functional working relationships at all levels across the business.
- Strong attention to detail is key and you must be comfortable managing a diverse workload and be able to priorities efficiently.
- Advance MS Skills is imperative, and data visualization tools’ experience would be beneficial.
