Job Description
- Producing VAT returns in Sage/Xero/QuickBooks
- Preparation of bookkeeping and VAT returns in Excel
- Filing VAT returns online
- Communicating with clients either by telephone, email or letter
- Backing up of clients' data, and saving audits
- Reconciling bank accounts
- Processing of clients records on specific packages
- Review of clients ledgers
- Maintaining and reconciling control accounts
- Preparation of year end pack ready for accounts preparation
- Ad hoc software assistance to clients
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Have previous administration experience
- Have a good working knowledge of accounting software
- Be highly confident with MS packages
- Maintain fantastic organization skills and the ability to priorities conflicting tasks
- Be able to problem-solve
- Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Previous experience as a bookkeeper
- Have an AAT Qualification or working towards or equivalent experience is preferred
- Have a high level of attention to detail
- Maintain a can-do attitude with the ability to self-motivate
