Job Description
- Consolidate central view of actuals, comparing to forecast and prior year and preparing commentary
- Review and challenge forecast submissions, providing financial advice on a range of issues.
- Challenge actual or potential variations to budgets
- Quarterly reconciliation of phased forecast and budget submissions, Balance Sheet, Cash flow and other key metrics
- Act as custodian of financial policies, advice on compliance to policy and best practice.
- Ensuring consistent treatment of accounting policies across the portfolio of production labels and implementing and supporting change
- Provide financial information to relevant stakeholders, ensure that all statutory reporting obligations are met
- Ownership of intercompany eliminations by genre across productions and content investment
- Ad hoc project work to understand and seek improvements to processes within Production and simplify reporting
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Professional accounting qualification ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
- Significant experience of a finance function within a complex matrix organization
- Experience of working with and the analysis and interpretation of financial information
- Significant experience of the application of governance and control principles.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence.
- Experience in a Group Finance consolidation role (understanding of eliminations/PURP/intercompany etc.)
