Job Description
Support the board in developing corporate and operational strategy
Preparation and presentation of annual budgets, monthly management accounts and KPIs
Point of contact for tax related matters including corporation tax, VAT & PAYE
Management of cash flow, ensuring cash and bank balances are accurately forecast and
tracked and all receipts and payments are received/made in-line with payment terms
Supervision and review of weekly payment run
Management of payroll related matters and point of contact with payroll company,
including salaries, bonuses, benefits (P11D) and other allowances ensuring timely and
accurate payment of all employees
Managing relationships with external accountants
Liaising with head of departments to improve their understanding of financial issues
Monitor and manage new external catering project, appraisal and budget comparison
Reviewing trends across the sector and also producing and sharing ad hoc reporting and
financial / commercial analysis as and when is required
Contributing financial expertise to the wider strategic plan, alongside the
directors
Working closely with other areas of the business and ensure that everyone is aligned and joined up to deliver an overall great business performance
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Minimum 2 years’ experience at a similar level within finance
Experience in working in Hospitality
Fluency in English, written and spoken
Excellent written skills and ability to write personable, persuasive and professional emails
Able to work on own initiative and self-motivated
Meticulous organization and attention to detail, able to priorities a demanding workload
Excellent communication skills
Level-headed and consistent in nature, trustworthy and reliable
Ability to work flexibly under pressure
A passion for great food, service, and people
