Job Description

You will be responsible for

  • Providing support to help the team priorities and align resources to meet deadlines and achieve the required quality standards. Coach and develop, inspire and motivate the staff to achieve optimal performance
  • Responsibility for the balance sheet accounts for accrued and deferred advertising revenues, accrued and prepaid advertising direct costs and advertising bad debt, credit note and rebate provisions, ensuring a tight control environment is maintained, minimizing the risk of material charges or releases to the P&L and flagging them early if they do aris
  • Ownership of the relevant SOX controls and audit queries
  • Ownership of the agency and client sales rebate process (actuals, budget and forecast)
  • Review of current reporting and control processes to ensure appropriate & Identification of system and process improvement
  • Regular liaison with the London Commercial Finance team to build effective working relationships. Ensure responsibility and dependency between the teams is clear and all relevant information is communicated to ensure accuracy of reporting.
  • Assisting London Commercial Finance team with Budget and Forecast processes are required·

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Qualified accountant with relevant post qualification experience
  • Previous experience of managing complex reporting processes and outputs
  • Ability to explain and quantify trends and patterns in data and to interpret data for all stakeholders
  • Ability to manage change and drive efficiency in reporting
  • Understand and manage compliance requirements for Advertising reporting
  • Show a good understanding of the key drivers of our business and what impacts those key drivers especially advertising revenue
  • Work closely with finance and business stakeholders to help influence decision making on key issues
  • Proven experience of team management, finding solutions to complex team issues and driving performance management to help staff fulfil their potential
  • Ability to build strong and effective working relationships and demonstrate flexible influencing styles across a diverse range of people
  • Adapt communication style for particular audiences to influence others to deliver results
  • Establish key relationships across groups to launch initiatives and achieve results
  • Ability to set and pursue direction without guidance knowing when to collaborate or escalate to find solutions to complex business issues.
