Job Description
  • Manage the Operational Finance team ensuring the team is developed, motivated and the review process is completed on a timely basis
  • Monitor the internal control framework and pro-actively work with the business to improve the framework
  • Work with key stakeholders to ensure the business consistently meets a high level of robustness and always maintains a state of due diligence readiness
  • Review, design and streamline the transactional accounting systems and processes
  • Manage the Group’s banking and treasury function and liaise with our banks when it comes to transactional matters
  • Work closely with the Financial Reporting team to ensure that best practice is being followed
  • Monitor all expenditure for compliance to the Groups Expense Policy and escalate non-compliance
  • Analyze monthly cash movements providing commentary and variance analysis against prior months and Budget for Group MI
  • Work with key stakeholders across the business to ensure data quality is of a high standard
  • Manage the Groups credit card facility ensuring the business has the required cards available and that individual and total credit limits are monitored and maintained
  • Develop and maintain a Group 13-week cash forecast and generate weekly cash collection targets
  • Support the Finance Business Partner by aligning the short-term cash flow forecast with the Group’s monthly financial model and highlighting any material trends/variances to Budget
  • Drive systemization and digitization of the finance function and undertake ongoing reviews of business processes and controls
  • Implement and maintain documented finance policies covering AP, AR and Treasury
  • Develop and maintain a controlled PO process with an automated appropriate authorisation and delegation matrix (with the introduction of a new finance system)
  • Support the budget and forecast process

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Personable & with a high skill of overall communication
  • Knowledge of effective team management of both AR & AP functions
  • Qualified accountancy accreditation ot QBE
  • Strong MS Excel skills
